Terms of Service
Last updated 5 October 2026. These Terms are between you and [LLC LEGAL NAME].
The parts worth reading even if you read nothing else. Section 7 explains that the app is powered by AI and will sometimes be wrong, and what you must check yourself โ especially anything to do with allergies, accessibility, health or entry requirements. Section 4 explains that we are not a travel agency and never take your booking. Section 5 covers the subscription and how to cancel. Sections 9 and 10 limit what we are responsible for.
Section 15 contains an agreement to arbitrate. It means that most disputes between us go to a neutral arbitrator rather than a court, individually rather than as part of a class action, and that we each give up the right to a jury trial. You can still take us to small-claims court. And you can opt out of arbitration entirely by emailing us within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms โ one short email, no reason needed, and nothing else about your account changes. Section 15.8 says exactly how.
1. Who we are, and what these Terms do
Family Globe is operated by [LLC LEGAL NAME], a Florida limited liability company, of [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us", "Family Globe").
These Terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the Family Globe app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and our Refunds and Cancellation policy form part of this agreement.
2. Who may use it
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. The account belongs to you, the adult who created it.
You will usually enter information about other people โ your family. By doing so you confirm that you are entitled to, and that where a traveller is an adult who can decide for themselves, they are content for you to.
The app deliberately does not need real names, dates of birth or document numbers, and we ask you not to enter them for anyone, and particularly not for a child. Nicknames and birth order work perfectly well. See the Privacy Policy for why.
3. Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly at info@familyglobe.com if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, except to the extent it results from something we did wrong.
One account is for one household. Do not share it beyond that or resell access to it.
4. What the Service is โ and what it is not
The Service is software that helps you plan travel. It builds itineraries around the information you give it, searches for current information, keeps your trip details together, and translates.
We are not a travel agency, a tour operator or a seller of travel. We do not sell flights, accommodation, tours, tickets or insurance. We do not take bookings, we do not handle money on behalf of any travel provider, and we hold no customer funds for travel. Every booking you make is a contract directly between you and that airline, hotel or operator, on their terms, and any problem with it is between you and them.
Some suggestions carry a link to a provider who may pay us a commission if you book โ see section 8.
5. Subscription, renewal and cancellation
A subscription costs $59.99 per year, plus any applicable tax, and renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, yourself, from your subscription settings or by emailing us.
The full detail โ what we tell you before you pay, the receipt and renewal reminders we send, how to cancel, when we refund and when we do not, and what happens if a payment fails โ is on the Refunds and Cancellation page, which forms part of these Terms.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
6. Credits
AI features consume credits. A subscription includes $20 of credit for the year, and you can buy more in $10 increments.
- The app shows your remaining balance at all times and warns you before it runs low.
- Credit is deducted according to the actual cost of each request to us, plus our margin. Bigger requests โ a full itinerary with live searches โ cost more than a short question, so we publish below what typical requests cost, and the app shows your balance at any time.
- What requests cost. 10,000 credits = $1 of credit, so
$10 of credit is 100,000 credits. The figures below are taken
from requests we have actually metered. They are ranges because what a request costs
follows its real size, not a fixed price per feature โ two itineraries for the same
city can differ severalfold depending on how much live searching they need.
A short question and reply about 350–600 credits A reference card (entry and documents, health, packing) about 1,000–1,400 credits A full itinerary about 5,000–15,000 credits Each live web search inside a request about 300–450 credits Live voice translation, per minute of conversation about 700 credits a minute Live voice translation is charged by the second and is much the most expensive feature per minute. About 700 credits a minute means roughly 42,000 for an hour, so the app charges it as you speak, shows your balance moving, and stops the session if your credit runs out rather than letting it run on. Unlike the rows above it is not a range: audio is billed purely by how long you talk, so a minute always costs the same.
At the top of the itinerary range, $10 of credit is about 7 full itineraries โ nearer 19 if your plans need little live searching โ or more than 165 short questions. The $20 included with a subscription is twice that. We quote the lower figure first deliberately: it is the one you can rely on.
This is what we have measured rather than a promise about any particular request, and our sample is still small โ we will update this table as we meter more. If our costs change we will update it too, and the 30 days' notice below applies to any change in what a request consumes. Your actual balance is shown in the app at all times, and what a request really cost is what is deducted. - Credit is not money and has no cash value. It cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and it is not a stored-value or gift card product.
- Credit you have bought remains usable while your subscription is active, and does not expire during a term you have paid for. Unused credit may be refundable โ see the refunds page.
- If our costs change we may change how much a request consumes, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice before we do. Credit already in your balance keeps its value for that notice period.
7. AI output โ please read this part
The Service uses artificial intelligence, including models operated by Anthropic and Google. AI output is frequently useful and sometimes confidently wrong. It can invent details, miss a closure, quote an out-of-date price or misread a schedule.
So:
- The Service is a planning aid, not a source of truth and not a complete reference. It is designed to help you think about a trip and to point you at the people who can actually answer โ not to be the record you plan against. This is true of every part of it, including the reference cards (entry and documents, health and vaccinations, packing, emergency contacts, travel advisories). Those cards are AI-generated summaries of what a search returned at a moment in time. They are not official, they are not guaranteed complete, and they are not a substitute for the government, embassy, airline, operator or clinician who issues the requirement.
- Everything the app tells you is a suggestion to be checked, not a fact to be relied on. Confirm opening times, prices, availability and accessibility with the venue before you depend on them.
- Allergy, dietary and accessibility information must always be confirmed directly with the restaurant, venue, airline or operator. Never rely on the app alone for anything that could affect someone's health or safety. The app helps you ask the right questions; it cannot answer them for the venue.
- Nothing in the Service is medical, legal, financial, tax or immigration advice. It does not diagnose, treat or advise on any condition. Speak to a qualified professional.
- Entry requirements, visas, passport validity and health requirements are your responsibility to confirm with the relevant government or embassy before you travel. The app points you at official sources for exactly this reason. Being refused at a border is a consequence we cannot undo.
- The translator is an aid to communication, not a professional interpreter, and must not be relied on in a medical, legal or emergency setting.
We do not promise that AI output will be accurate, complete, current or suitable for your circumstances, and we do not endorse any place, venue or provider it names.
8. How we make money, stated plainly
Your subscription is our main revenue. We may also earn commission when you book certain things through links in the app, at no extra cost to you.
Commission never influences what the app recommends. Suggestions come from the planning engine and live search; a booking link is attached afterwards to what it already chose. We label links that may earn us a commission where they appear. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not let any provider buy a recommendation.
9. What we do not promise
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular moment. It depends on third-party AI providers, and those providers have outages, change their models and change their prices.
Some states do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
10. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of a substitute service.
- We are not liable for anything arising from a booking you made with a third party โ a cancelled flight, an overbooked hotel, a closed attraction, a tour that was not as described. We are not party to that contract.
- Our total liability to you for all claims is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, for our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Some states do not allow some of these limits, in which case they do not apply to you.
11. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to harass anyone, to attack or probe our systems or our providers' systems, to get around usage limits or payment, to scrape or resell our output as a competing service, or to generate content that is unlawful or that sexualises or endangers a child.
Do not enter anyone else's personal information without the right to, and do not use the translator to record someone covertly โ in several US states, including Florida, recording a conversation without everyone's consent is a criminal offence. Tell people the translator is listening.
12. Your content and ours
What you put in stays yours โ your family details, trips, notes, reviews and uploads. You give us only the permission we need to run the Service for you: to store it, to process it, and to send the relevant parts to the AI providers that generate your plans.
The app, its design, its text and the planning system behind it are ours, and remain ours.
What the AI generates for you โ your itineraries โ is yours to use however you like, including commercially. Similar output may be generated for someone else, and we make no claim of exclusivity over it.
13. Suspending or ending the account
You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, or ask us to delete the account entirely.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if keeping the account open would risk harm to someone. Where it is reasonable to, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we end your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of your term.
If we ever shut the Service down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, let you export your trips, and refund the unused portion of your current term.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. For a material change we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change; if you do not, cancel before it takes effect and we will refund the unused part of your term.
15. Disputes โ please read, this affects your legal rights
In short. Talk to us first. If that does not work, most disputes go to a neutral arbitrator rather than a court, and individually rather than as a class action. We both give up the right to a jury trial. You keep the right to use small-claims court. You can opt out of all of this within 30 days โ see 15.8.
15.1 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section 15.
15.2 Talk to us first
Before starting an arbitration or a court case, you agree to tell us about the problem and give us 60 days to put it right, and we agree to do the same for you. Email info@familyglobe.com with a description of the problem and what you want us to do about it. This is not a formality โ most things are fixed at this stage, and it is faster for you than any process below.
If we have not resolved it within 60 days, either of us may begin arbitration. The 60 days do not count against any deadline for bringing a claim.
15.3 Agreement to arbitrate
Except for the claims described in 15.4, you and we agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and not in court. This includes disputes about whether these Terms apply, about advertising, and about claims that arose before you accepted these Terms.
You and we are each giving up the right to a trial by jury, and the right to participate in a class action. An arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.
15.4 What is not arbitrated
- Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction, instead of arbitration. If you prefer small claims, say so and we will not try to force arbitration.
- Intellectual property. Either of us may go to court for an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property, trade secrets or unauthorised access to the Service.
- Public injunctive relief. A claim for public injunctive relief may be brought in court. Nothing here waives that right where the law does not allow it to be waived.
15.5 How arbitration works
- Arbitration is administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at adr.org or by calling AAA. Where those rules conflict with this section, this section governs.
- One arbitrator decides. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies a court could, must follow these Terms, and must give a written decision explaining the outcome.
- You choose how it is held: on the documents alone, by telephone or video, or in person in [COUNTY] County, Florida. We will not ask you to travel.
- Either of us may be represented by a lawyer. Neither of us has to be.
15.6 Who pays
For any claim you bring of US$10,000 or less, we will pay all AAA filing, administrative and arbitrator fees once you have paid the amount a court filing fee would have cost you, unless the arbitrator finds your claim was frivolous or brought for an improper purpose. Above that amount, fees follow the AAA rules. Each side otherwise pays its own legal costs, except where a statute or the arbitrator says otherwise.
If we offer you more in writing than the arbitrator ultimately awards, we may ask the arbitrator to take that into account on costs โ and nothing stops you accepting such an offer.
15.7 Individually, not as a class
Arbitration is individual. Neither of us may bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated or representative action, and the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of class proceeding, except as described in the next paragraph.
Where many similar claims are filed together by or with coordinated counsel โ 25 or more raising substantially the same issues โ you and we agree they may be grouped into batches of no more than 50 for the purpose of appointing an arbitrator and resolving common questions efficiently, with each person's claim decided on its own facts. This is for speed and cost, and does not turn an individual claim into a class action.
If this section 15.7 is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, then that claim โ and only that claim โ is severed from the arbitration and goes to the courts identified in 15.9. The rest of section 15 continues to apply to everything else.
15.8 How to opt out โ 30 days, one email
You can reject this arbitration agreement entirely. Email info@familyglobe.com with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, and include your name and the email address on your account. That is all. You do not have to give a reason.
If you opt out, section 15.3 to 15.7 do not apply to you, disputes go to the courts in 15.9 instead, and nothing else about your account, your price or your service changes in any way. We will confirm your opt-out in writing. Opting out of a previous version of these Terms carries forward โ you never have to do it twice.
15.9 Courts
Where a dispute is not subject to arbitration โ because of 15.4, because you opted out, or because 15.7 severed it โ it will be heard in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY] County, Florida, and we each consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
15.10 Time limit
Any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose, or within the period the law requires if that is longer and cannot be shortened. Otherwise it is permanently barred.
15.11 Changes to this section, and survival
If we materially change this section 15, the change does not apply to any dispute we already knew about, and you get a fresh 30-day opt-out from the date of the change. This section survives the end of your subscription and of these Terms.
Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting a concern to a government agency, or from taking part in an investigation by one.
16. General
- Notices. We contact you at the email on your account. You contact us at info@familyglobe.com, or by post to [LLC LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
- If part of this fails. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.
